You will need a post to mount your board, which can be affixed to a garden fence or used with a ground spike. Posts and grounds are not supplied, but are available from most hardware shops. If you would prefer us to professionally erect a board on your behalf this can be arranged for an additional fee. HIPs - do I need one? Home Information Packs are required for all homes in England and Wales. If you would like a quote from our recommended provider please contact us. You will need to leave your full name, address and daytime telephone number and will be contacted within 24 hours. Currently using an estate agent? Can I still list my property on your site if I am currently using an estate agent? It depends on the contract you have signed, most estate agents have a Sole Agency contract and online home advertising or private newspaper advertising does not automatically affect this. We allow you to list your property to achieve a private sale, we do not receive any contact from prospective buyers and so are not an estate agent. You usually only have to pay commission if your agent or another agent introduces a buyer. You may wish to check the wording in your contract as you may have signed a Sole Selling Rights Contract (see below) What if I am signed to a Sole Selling Rights Contract? A Sole Selling Rights Contract means that the estate agent can charge commission even if they do not introduce the buyer. So you may have to pay the commission in this instance. Taking all in to account though, even if you do get a private sale after listing your property on our website, you will only have to pay a maximum of £75 more that you would if your agent sold it. You need to decide for yourself if you wish to go ahead under this basis. Should I tell my estate agent? We would always suggest speaking to your agent to confirm the terms of your contract and where possible ask them to amend your contract to state that they will not charge you any commission you agree a private sale. This may also be the push they need to take a more active approach in trying to get you a buyer.
