How Do I Find A Property To Buy In The UK

To search the database of houses currently for sale by their owner, use the search engine on the left of the screen, select an area below or click an area from the map.  You can search by area, bedrooms or price range.  If you require details of a specific property you have seen for sale and know its unique web reference number, simply enter it in the quick search box and click search.

Search results will return all properties on our database that match your selected criteria.

Clicking on the thumbnail image or more info link for a specific property will display full details of that property.  If you click one of the photographs on the property it will enlarge for you to see it in more detail, simply click the photograph again for it to return to its normal size.  At the bottom of the selection you will have the option to send a message to the vendor.  You will then be able to send a secure email to the vendor to request any further information or to arrange a mutually convenient time for a viewing appointment.

What shall I do when I find a property I would like to buy

If you find a property you wish to buy, you must make an offer to, and negotiate directly with, the vendor.

On agreeing a sale, both you and the vendor should inform your solicitors, who will formalise agreements and issue contracts.  If you do not have a Solicitor then please request a call from Mark Cook Solicitors who have agreed to offer both vendors and buyers using Interweb Properties a preferential rate.

If you are arranging a mortgage, the mortgage company will instruct a valuer to value the property for mortgage purposes only. You may want to arrange a more detailed survey of the property such as an RICS Homebuyer Survey And Valuation Report.
